Whatever the reason is, traveling solo is something that you should experience before you reach the age of 30. According to research, traveling solo will give you more opportunities to establish meaningful connections with people you meet along the way. So if you’re ready to embark on your solo adventure, check out these top travel destinations for solo travelers under thirties.

1. Philippines

The Philippines is one of those Southeast Asian countries that are ideal for solo travelers. Home to more than 7,000 islands, the country is blessed with beautiful beaches and offers a wide range of attractions that solo travelers can explore.

One of the most popular destinations for solo travelers in the Philippines is the island of El Nido in Palawan, dubbed the World’s Most Beautiful Island. Other beach destinations that are truly worth a visit in the Philippines are the islands of Boracay and Siargao. If you’re a history buff, head to the island of Cebu. As the country’s oldest city, Cebu has plenty of historical sights with others dating back to Spanish times.

2. India

Traveling solo in India is such a remarkable and liberating experience. It will challenge you in so many ways but you’ll go home feeling empowered. In general, a holiday in central India is considered one of the safest places for solo travel in India. It’s a mystical land dotted with ancient temples and majestic forts dating back to the early times.

Exploring the ancient ruins of Hampi is a must. This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that consists of the remains of the early settlements from the 1st Century AD. If you want to experience the wild, go safari at Bandhavgarh National Park, known for its large population of Bengal tigers.

3. New Zealand

New Zealand often tops the list of places that are considered safe for solo travelers. It’s a small country with breathtaking landscapes and offers tons of adventure sports and outdoor activities for solo travelers.

You might skip Auckland in favor of the countryside, but it’s actually a great place to base yourself for a few days. It’s a culturally diverse city with lots of interesting sights and attractions. After a brief stay in Auckland, head to the Bay of Islands, a tropical paradise known for its beautiful beaches and Maori cultural artifacts. 4. Costa Rica

The Manuel Antonio National Park is Costa Rica’s most popular attraction. This national park is famous for its vast diversity of plants and wildlife. Its rugged rainforest and white sand beaches are a joy to explore. Visiting the beautiful town of La Fortuna is highly recommended for solo holiday adventures in Costa Rica. It’s home to the beautiful Arenal Volcano known for its hot springs, rivers, and waterfalls.

5. Canada

Canada is a great country to explore on your own. It has a diverse landscape with interesting architectures, gorgeous parks, vibrant cities, and more. Vancouver is a great city to base your solo adventure. It has excellent public transportation with lots of cool neighborhoods that you can explore on foot.

Toronto is another safe city in Canada that’s ideal for solo travelers, thanks to its efficient transport system. You can easily visit some of the city’s attractions on your own, such as the CN Tower, Toronto Island, and Kensington Market. Quebec is another beautiful city to wander around. It has plenty of interesting sights, the most popular of which is the Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal, a grand church with magnificent interiors.
